Professor of Social Politics at the University of Helsinki, Heikki Hiilamo and his group, visited Me-talo Mellunmäki at February 27th. They were accompanied by researchers and officials of Kela, Youth Research Network and DIAK. The theme of the visit concerned the employment problems and solutions for NEET-youth. NEET stands for Not in Employment, Education or Training. Professor Hiilamo’s group is going to make a statement regarding how to develop the Finnish social service and benefit system from the viewpoint of 16-25 year-old youth.

We invited local youth through WorkPilots mobile application to join the discussion and share their experience and improvement suggestions regarding the service system.

We would like to thank the participants and especially the youth for co-operation!
